The
first in its series, moriah music's Artic & Aquatic Adventures "Folk, Fact and
Fun" features a frolicking, fresh family of silly and serious songs, certain to
delight children everywhere.
Created to compliment classroom curriculum, Cindy
Baney composed this clever collection of original and adapted songs to highlight
the unique characteristics of creatures who live in arctic and aquatic regions.
This project was made possible thanks to Lilly
Endowment, Inc. and their Teacher Creativity Fellowship Programs.

Review:
This collection of
34 songs from award winning author, composer and music educator,
Cynthia Ensign Baney, offers an international mix of songs, which
stimulates the child's imagination and creativity through music.
From the foot tapping "If I
Were an Octopus" to the Latin beat of "Harbor Seal Samba" was tested
in a middle school non-music, Japanese academic class, where with in seconds, the
entire class was tapping and singing along. Baney's voice is
welcoming and polished, whether on solo tracks or in harmony with
herself. The additional solo work from each of her own children
(ages 3-14) and their good friends adds extra playfulness to the
music, giving the album a variety of tempos and keys, making it
appealing to children across the spectrum. |
