DRAMA CAMP Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the drama camp located?
What are the hours of the camp day? Camp hours are between 9:00-3:00, however students can start arriving as soon as 8:30. Two performances will be held at the end of the camp; June 18 at 7:00p.m. and June 19 at 7 p.m.
What are the ages of students involved? The camp is geared towards students in grades 4-9. However, students who are younger grades are welcome. There is a lot of memorization of script and choreography and we want the experience to be a successful one for all students.
Is the audition required? Auditions are preferred, but not required. The audition is a chance for the director to see the skill level of students so that they can be matched with a part. If your child would prefer a smaller role or a chorus only role, that can be arranged.
When do I audition? Auditions will be held in Carmel on Thursday, May 7th, 2009 from 5:30-7 p.m. in Fishers on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 6-7:30 p.m. and in Carmel on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 5:30-7 p.m. Final auditions can be scheduled by appointment on May 16, 2009. (Location is provided with appointment confirmation.)
What does tuition cover? We have created a camp that is affordable and provides a good value. Tuition covers the following:
*Students will hand paint their own Japanese fashion during Kanji Camp
How can I get a discount? All registrations received at the Musical open house for 3 Billy Goats Gruff will receive a $25 discount.
How much does camp cost: Camp fees are $275 for one child. Family friendly rates are available online.
Are there any additional costs? Beyond tuition, there is a $30 craft materials fee for The Japanese Tale with Kanji Camp, due the week of camp.
When is tuition due? Tuition is due in full by May 31, 2009.
When will I know my part? All roles will be assigned and posted on our website on Monday, June 1 by 5:00 p.m. Scripts and CDs can be picked up starting Tuesday, June 2 between 5-7 p.m.
